What are All-on-4 dental implants?
All-on-4 is a way to replace a full arch of teeth (upper, lower or both) with a fixed set of teeth that is supported by four dental implants in the jaw. The new teeth attach to the implants and stay in place. You do not take them out the way you would remove a traditional denture. Your dentist can remove them when needed.
All-on-6 dental implants
All-on-6 works the same way but uses six implants to support the arch instead of four. Your dentist will recommend four or six implants after examining your mouth, jawbone and bite, and will explain why. We offer both options in our office.
Full-arch and full-mouth implant options
Full-arch treatment can replace the teeth in one arch or in both arches (often called full-mouth implants). This page covers fixed teeth that you do not remove at home. What happens at a full-arch consultation
At your consultation, one of our dentists examines your teeth, gums and jaw, and reviews your dental and medical history to start planning treatment. You will talk through whether All-on-4, All-on-6, another full-arch option or a removable implant denture fits your situation, and you can ask questions. Your dentist will explain the steps of your own treatment plan at that visit.
